This page has my personal recommendations for books, ebooks, articles, blogs and websites (see our Online Resources Page for annotated links) to assist the more than 65 million family caregivers in the U.S. facing challenges as never before. These are a sampling of resources that I have personally found helpful and inspiring.

This nationally known author, speaker and workshop leader has written numerous books about the importance of caring for oneself to enable the gift of caring for others and to live your own life to the fullest, most vibrant extent possible.  Please check out her website and try the Grace button at https://cherylrichardson.com/books/

Cheryl has an online newsletter to which you can subscribe for weekly inspiration and ideas.  You can sign up for that on her website.  She challenges you to a weekly goal, as well, and offers stories, tips and helpful advice for your empowerment, encouragement and entertainment.

Caregiving can be a labryinth of twists and turns with many steps along the winding path. Having a guide to take you by the hand and show you that you will get through this, and you will do the right things, is crucial. Gail Sheehy is that guide in her book, Passages in Caregiving: Turning Chaos Into Confidence.

Passages in Caregiving:
Turning Chaos into Confidence

Gail Sheehy is an author, speaker, caregiver advocate, and general mover & shaker. Her book, Passages in Caregiving: Turning Chaos into Confidence, is an excellent resource for all caregivers, providing a truly empathetic approach through her own personal story, interspersed with case studies of several families in various care situations, plus a well-researched directory of resources and information.  I recommend it for anyone on the caregiving journey.  She uses the visual of a labyrinth as her metaphor for caregiving, the twists and turns, coming back where you were, not seeing the end point.  It's a beautifully written book, full of heart and hope and good advice.
