It offers compassionate advice, information, new research, and an open forum to communicate with other caregivers. Music and Memory (iPod Project) - www.musicandmemory.org Providing personalized playlists of music, along with training for implementing programs for nursing home residents with Alzheimer's. The music brings pleasure to persons with advanced Alzheimer's, reduces agitation, enhances socialization and reduces the need for medications. Also listed are state coalitions for respite care. This complex database is searchable by State and all kinds of additional parameters. Caring.com - www.caring.com - this website brings such a wealth of information that it is hard to categorize. Includes reviews of local care facilities, searchable by criteria, all customized to your location. Tips for caregivers of all kinds, general information, links to government websites that are helpful, and an online community of support. Excellent resource!
